Sports Physicals
Ensuring the Health and Safety of Our Athletes
At Summerville Union High School, the health and safety of our student-athletes are paramount. All students participating in any sports must complete a pre-participation physical examination to ensure they are fit to join the team activities safely.
What Does the Physical Include?
Sports physical exams are comprehensive assessments that include:
- Height and weight measurement
- Blood pressure and vision checks
- Musculoskeletal evaluation
- Medical examination covering ears, nose, throat, lymph nodes, heart, pulse, lungs, and abdomen
Where and When?
This year, the sports physicals will be provided by Adventist Health Sonora, offering low-cost options for our families:
Dates and Locations:
- May 20: Summerville High School and Big Oak Flat School District
- May 21: Sonora High School
- Time: Drop-in visits from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM
- Location: Adventist Health Sonora Health Pavilion, 900 Mono Way
Cost
The fee for the physical is $25, payable by cash or check to Adventist Health Sonora. Proceeds will be split between the schools’ athletic programs and the Adventist Health Sonora Injured Athlete Fund.
